Step by step

Days 1 & 2

Victoria Falls

This journey begins on the banks of the Zambezi, in the immediate vicinity of Victoria Falls. You'll be staying at a lodge in the middle of nowhere, accessible only by boat, with an unobstructed view of the river. During the first two days, you'll discover the falls with a local guide and explore the surrounding area on foot or by boat. The lodge's natural setting, discreet architecture and deliberately slow pace lay the foundations for gradual immersion.

Days 3 & 4

Mana Pools

From Victoria Falls, a light aircraft flight takes you to Mana Pools, a vast territory classified by UNESCO for its exceptional biodiversity. You'll set up camp in an isolated area on the banks of the river. The approach here favors a walking safari, accompanied by an experienced guide, to observe the wildlife while respecting its space. Late afternoons can be devoted to canoeing, for a fluid and silent reading of the landscape.

Day 5 & 6

Lake Kariba

Lake Kariba represents a striking transition between savannah and aquatic environments. Depending on the type of accommodation you choose, you can explore the shores and wooded areas on safaris by boat or vehicle. Wildlife viewing is often spectacular, especially in the marshy areas. The climate, light and openness of the landscape create a special atmosphere conducive to contemplation. It's an ideal time to slow down, take a breather and approach your trip from a different angle.

Day 7 & 8

Hwange National Park

The final stage of the itinerary, Hwange National Park stretches across a vast plain dotted with waterholes. The chosen camp is located in a private concession, allowing outings in small groups and off the beaten track. Safaris take place early in the morning and at the end of the day, with occasional sightings from set-up caches. This region is particularly well-suited to elephant encounters, but lions, wild dogs and large birds of prey can also be seen. Landscapes change rapidly from one area to the next, offering a variety of ecosystems rarely seen.

Day 9

End of trip

Depending on your return flight, you reach Victoria Falls or Harare by light aircraft. This journey concludes an itinerary designed to allow time for the eye to adjust, for the pace to settle, and for each region to reveal its own character.
