The third largest city in South Africa, Durban is located in the province of Kwazulu-Natal. Former capital of the colony and of the province of Natal, Durban is a city with its own architecture. We discover Victorian buildings bordering Indian-inspired mosques and a rather industrial coastline. Some say that this city is the meeting point between East and West in Africa.
The largest Indian community in South Africa has taken up residence in Durban. You will discover Indian shops and taste the best curries on the continent. The famous Bunny Chow is the local culinary specialty. This is a European sandwich bread filled with curry. Originally, this poor man’s dish allowed workers to take their lunch with them.
