Filip Wuyts is co-founder and director of South African Travellers. Originally from Mechelen in Flanders, he spent many years abroad with a multinational company — several of them in South Africa: an experience that sparked an irresistible passion for the continent. In 2020 he took the leap for good and settled in Cape Town with his business partner Xavier Grégoire to take over and grow the agency.
With 8 years of field expertise across the whole of Southern Africa, Filip drives the agency's business development, accounting and marketing. His intimate knowledge of the region allows him to craft fully tailor-made journeys: safaris, road trips, luxury experiences and family holidays, always designed with the same exacting standards.
His favourite destination? South Africa, for its unmatched diversity: wildlife, refined gastronomy, contrasting landscapes and cultural richness. Filip speaks French, English, Dutch, German and a little Spanish.
